Dear all,

I downloaded today Eclipse ont he website to create an app but can't find the "new android project" at all anywhere.

I've been through tutorials and they all manage to find "android" somewhere within the menus.

Has this option been removed after the last update?

Thank you for your help,

Stéphane

You need to install the Android Development Tools; this isn't provided by Eclipse and must be installed separately. See the following page for instructions:

You can also download the ADT Bundle.
https://developer.android.com/sdk/
It includes the essential Android SDK components and a version of the Eclipse IDE with built-in ADT (Android Developer Tools) to streamline your Android app development.

I have the same problem. I have already installed the ADT Plugin (both ways: by archive and by link). Seems that it is installed correctly. I have installed the SDK tools, too, but still there is no "New Android Project". I am using Eclipse Luna. What should I do?

Android Developer Tools

Important: Support for the Android Developer Tools (ADT) in Eclipse has ended, per our announcement. You should migrate your app development projects to Android Studio as soon as possible. For more information on transitioning to Android Studio, see Migrating from Eclipse ADT.
