Hello,

we are encountering problems using our Scout application. Problem is high CPU usage of Google Chrome.

The same problem is with Microsoft Edge, with Firefox we did nout encounter this.

We tried updating Google Chrome to latest version, but problem persists.

Also, one good point we also reproduced this situation on Eclipse Scout Contacts Demo application.

Steps to reproduce:
Open multiple tabs in Contacts application, and switch beetween TablePage and Form (DisplayHintView). Each time CPU usage is rising and not dropping. Also when doing tab refresh CPU is rising and not dropping.
After few minutes page becomes unresponsive and is not responding.

Using Chrome Developer Tools with Performace Monitor tool there is not any CPU activity while page is very slow and after that not responding.

Problem is found in Windows and also in MacOS using Chrome.

Did any of you find this problem? We are using Eclipse Scout 22.0.41 but I repeat, problem is same on Contacts Demo application.

Hi Mr Robot,

we have also experienced this behavior and have already been able to find out what is causing this behavior.
The chromium issue which we have created is now already solved, please see https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1487583.
The fix is already included in higher versions but there is a chance that one of the following minor upgrades will also correct this bug for 117.
Until then I suggest to use a non chromium browser like Firefox or start the Chrome browser with the following command line argument:
--js-flags="-max-inlined-bytecode-size 0"

Kind regards,
Fritz
