Hi,
I have a mosquitto broker B1 running on windows 10 machine. B1 is connected to few clients. Also B1 is bridged to another Broker B2 running on Linux cloud vm.

Issue:
Sometimes, the bridge between B1 and B2 is disconnected and never connects back until I restart the Windows Machine where Broker B1 lies. Just restarting Broker B1 and B2 does not help.

On Logs I found Expiring client local.bridge-name due to timeout
Also I find - Client local.bridge-name disconnected due to malformed packet

Any help appreciated.

This is a known regression bug introduced into 2.0.15. Rolling back to 2.0.14 should work. In my case, I rolled back to 2.0.11 (because that's the release in the Debian repositories).

But in version 2.0.16, I did see this issue was fixed. But last week I upgraded to version 2.0.17, and still mqtt bridge not connecting when persistence is true in Broker B1 and persistence is false in Broker B2.
