I would like to automate an old version of Eclipse CDT ( based on Eclipse 3.1.2, CDT 3.0.2) so I can run automated builds. Sadly this version does not support the CDT headless build CLI options, so I was hoping to use RCP TT or an other form of UI automation.

The Eclipse version is vendor specific (Digi ESP for NET+OS) and required to build some legacy projects I am working on. It is only supported to run on Windows.

Sadly, it looks like I can't use the RCP Testing Tool IDE Version: 2.5.4 in order to automate the application. I get the following error when I try to add it as a UAT:
"Cannot find appropriate Equinox launcher library".

Is there a version of the RPC TT or some other tool available that can be used to test applications based on Eclipse RPC 3.1.2? If not, is there an other way to automate the Eclipse UI?

Full version info and list of plugins of the IDE I want to automate:

Configured features:
ID: org.eclipse.platform, Version: 3.1.2
ID: org.eclipse.rcp, Version: 3.1.2
ID: com.digi.netos, Version: 1.2.0
ID: com.digi.workbench, Version: 1.2.0
ID: org.eclipse.cdt, Version: 3.0.2
