Client certificate validation failed [message #1844685]

Hi,

In the mosquitto conf file, I have included the option "require_certificate true" to validate the client. However, when the client connects, I am getting the below error in the file mosquitt.log

1632231428: OpenSSL Error[0]: error:1417C086:SSL routines:tls_process_client_certificate:certificate verify failed
1632231428: Client <unknown> disconnected: Protocol error.

I have already added the client certificate to the 'cafile'.

Could you suggest any solutions to resolve the issue?

NOTE: The client certificate and server certificate are not generated from the same CA. In my case, the client certificate is self-signed. Hence I added the client certificate into 'cafile'.
