Hi Guys,

I am using mosquitto broker , mqtts (8883) instead of mqtt(1883) on my server. I want to set fail2ban on mqtts so that unauthenticated user could be blocked by my firewall.

Is it possible to set fail2ban on mqtts? I know fail2ban is possible to set on many services but not sure for mqtts

I'm afraid it's a bit tricky to do that right now, the logs don't really give the right information at the right time for you to identify which clients are failing. I think this needs fixing!

Actually, i am using mqtts instead of mqtt. this port (8883), i am planning to open for the world (for all customers). So that they could data to my server.

without fail2ban dont you think , its dangerous to open the port on a server
