Hello everyone,
I wan't to do some research and run some benchmark tests on scheduling algorithms for MQTT servers. I looked into some of the brokers available like Mosquitto etc. However, I do not know how the scheduling of packet publishing is done in those server applications.

I do not want to re-invent the wheel just to compare different scheduling algorithms like FIFO or Round robin among different topics. I am trying to learn how the scheduling was done in widely available brokers and if there is a broker with a suitable API for me to use.

Any kind of pointer would be much appreciated.
