Is there a way to silently install Mosquitto, or does the installation require interaction with the installation dialogs?

Yes, running it as

mosquitto-1.6.12-install-windows-x64.exe /S

should run it in silent mode.

I did try running it with a "/s" earlier, but the parameter appears to only like a capital S. When I did what you suggested, it worked.

A followup to this, you can now use `winget` to install mosquitto silently: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/package-manager/winget/
