Hi,

I have had some good experience with Mosquitto over the years, but am looking for some way to manage the User Management part i.e. Add/Create/Delete Users without using the dedicated Mosquitto CLIs.

In most cases, the broker will be deployed on an infrastructure where the administrator has all the access and some application administrator can control the user/topic management via APIs or by Web UI.

Any suggestions on how that might be possible in Mosquitto? Even if I create a UI, I might end executing shell commands (with root access) to add users and trigger SIGUP which I am not comfortable with honestly given that if something goes wrong on a server more trouble will ensue.

Any suggestions from the Paho team regarding this topic?

Regards
